  7. █  How to use TechPlot help system
  8.  
  9.     The Help Menu gives you access to the
  10. TechPlot on-line help system in a special
  11. dialog box.
  12.  
  13.     To open the TechPlot Help dialog box,
  14. do one of the following actions:
  15.  
  16.     ■ Press <F1> at any time except from
  17.       a dialog box or when a menu command
  18.       is selected.
  19.  
  20.     ■ Choose one of the command under the
  21.       Help Menu, except About command.
  22.  
  23.     To close the TechPlot Help dialog box,
  24. press <ESC> or click the Done button in
  25. the dialog box.
  26.  
  27.     The TechPlot Help dialog box contains
  28. several buttons and an inputline.
  29.  
  30.   ■ File Viewer:  This is the area that
  31.     displays the help file text.  You can
  32.     use up and down arrow keys or <Page Up>
  33.     and <Page Dn> keys to scroll the text
  34.     in the File Viewer.
  35.  
  36.   ■ Index Button:  Click this button to
  37.     display the TechPlot help index list
  38.     file which contains a full list of help
  39.     topics.
  40.  
  41.   ■ Previous Button:  Click this button to
  42.     display the help file which has the
  43.     index preceding the current index.  For
  44.     example, if the current index is 5,
  45.     then the previous index is 4.  The
  46.     index of the TechPlot Index file is 0.

  48.   ■ Next Button:  Click this button to
  49.     display the help file which has the
  50.     index one greater than the current
  51.     index.

  53.   ■ Topic Button:  Click this button to
  54.     display the TechPlot help topic list
  55.     file which contains a full list of help
  56.     topics.

  58.   ■ Current Index:  This inputline has two
  59.     functions:
  60.       1) it displays the current topic
  61.          index;
  62.       2) it can be used as the input for a
  63.          special index request by the user.

  65.   ■ View Button:  Click this button to view
  66.     the help topic that has the index shown
  67.     in the Current Index inputline.

  69.   ■ Done Button:  Click this button to
  70.     close the TechPlot Help dialog box.

  75.     This command opens the TechPlot Help
  76. dialog box with the tpindex.hlp in the 
  77. Viewer.  The pgindex.hlp contains a full 
  78. list of help topics.  Each topic has a 
  79. unique index which corresponds to a help 
  80. file.  You can type in a proper index in
  81. the Current Index field and click on the
  82. View button to view that help topic.
